In the sassy-chic neighborhood of Pittsburgh known as Shadyside, Harry Levine - Architect, has become so much a part of the landscape that the man is indistinguishable from the matrix. This enclave of the dynamic Steel City is home to a General Store of merchants, engineers, rock stars, and mill workers; the dreamers and doers of society. The terrain - a collaged assembly of hand-me-down rowhouses, gargoyled churches, jagger-weeded ravines, and lusty bars.
Harry’s local projects, including restaurants, taverns, gelateria, a jeweler’s showroom, a yoga center, a woman’s apparel shop, deliver both form and grace to the street fabric. Working as much from instinct as inspiration, the man transforms the raw materials of a client's wish list into a finished product of useful, beautiful architecture.
